New Taipei City Civic Cultural Forum:the direct dialogue between the government and local cultural community

TACPS, NTUA and cultural organizations in New Taipei City recently jointly hosted a New Taipei City Civic Cultural Forum at NTUA, held December 10, 2016. The forum examined current situation of cultural governance and its prospects in Banqiao District, and called for cultural workers, organizations, cultural policy scholars and academics to engage in the exchange of ideas to increase mutual understanding between the government and local community, and to promote common goals in cultural affairs, as well as to enhance positive visibility of cultural programs of New Taipei City.

Host by the president of TACPS, Dr. Jerry C.Y. LIU, key panel speakers includingthe president of NTUA, Dr. Chih-Cheng CHEN, the Commissioner of Cultural Affairs Department, New Taipei City, Mr. Kuanyuh Tony LIN, the director of the Association of Historic Military Community of New Taipei City, Mr. Chun-Ren TUNG, and officials of the Cultural Affairs Department, New Taipei City discussed matters of mutual cultural governance, observations of cultural policy and arts budget with participating audiences. Mr. Kuanyuh Tony LIN appreciates the platform, where the direct dialogue between the government and local cultural community is possible and beneficial to improve better understanding.
